Most small businesses lack disaster plans

Nationwide’s Small Business Indicator says that 68% of small businesses do not have a disaster plan, even though half said it would take at least three months to recover from a natural disaster.

Although most businesses don’t have a formal plan, most said they could work remotely if needed and back up their records offsite.

Preparation is important, especially during storm season. Insurance plays an important role in disaster recovery and can help a business get back on its feet faster.
