Gov. Tony Evers announced Monday, April 20, a new Badger Bounce Back plan that outlines important criteria for the state to reopen its economy in phases.
The plan includes steps to make sure workers and businesses can prepare to reopen as soon as it is safe to do so following the coronavirus pandemic.
Evers’ plan reflects, in part, President Donald Trump’s guidelines for opening back up the country. Currently, Wisconsin does not meet the White House’s criteria to start reopening.
The goal of Badger Bounce Back is to decrease COVID-19 cases and deaths to a low level, and increase capacity in the state’s healthcare system so phased reopening of businesses can begin.
