The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC)approved a $5 million program Tuesday, March 17, that will provide grants of up to $20,000 to targeted businesses with no more than 20 employees to cover rent, payroll and other expenses, including paid leave.
The Small Business 20/20 program targets the “smallest of the small” businesses impacted by the coronavirus that are vital to their communities, such as retailers, restaurants and small service providers, WEDC Secretary and CEO Missy Hughes said.
In addition to the measures announced, the Small Business Administration is moving forward with loans at the federal level.
