IRS seeks Taxpayer Advocacy Panel volunteers

March 3, 2020

The IRS is seeking civil-minded volunteers to serve on its Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP), a federal advisory committee that identifies major taxpayer concerns and makes recommendations for improving IRS service.

The TAP reports annually to the U.S. Treasury Secretary, the IRS Commissioner and the National Taxpayer Advocate, an independent organization within the IRS that provides support for and oversight of the TAP.

The TAP is also looking for alternates in a number of states, including Wisconsin. Members serve a three-year term starting in December. For more information about the TAP or the application process, visit www.improveirs.org.
