Help Wisconsin kids develop money-smart skills by volunteering for the Reading Makes Cents program during National Financial Literacy Month this April.
Studies show that Americans lack a basic understanding of economic and financial concepts. Hope for improvement lies in making economic and financial education a priority in our schools. The WICPA supports financial literacy and believes in teaching students the basics of money so they can make smart financial decisions.
This WICPA Educational Foundation’s volunteer opportunity simply involves visiting a local elementary school and reading a children’s book to students about the basics of money. The foundation will prove a money-themed book to read aloud and handout material for parents and teachers.
