More than half of American workers (52%) say they’re behind on retirement savings, according to a new study by Bankrate.com.
The new study reports just 16% of respondents felt they were right on track for their retirement savings, and 11% felt they were ahead in terms of saving. Another 20% of respondents said they didn’t know if they were on track or not.
The study also found that more than half of the respondents close to retirement age do not have the savings needed. Setting goals, however, appears to have had an impact on success in retirement savings.
