Results from a Robert Half survey indicate more jobs could be added than cut as companies transform to digital workplaces.
As more and more finance departments adopt new technologies, people will be needed to manage the automatization processes. Also, the skills CFOs look for will be changing, as more staff with data analysis and communication skills will be needed to interpret and deliver the increased amount of data.
According to the survey, 17 percent of U.S. respondents expect to grow their accounting and finance teams as part of a digital transformation initiative while another 59 percent plan to maintain current staffing levels. In comparison, 3 percent of respondents plan to reduce headcount while another 9 percent will freeze hiring.
