The U.S. and Wisconsin economies continue to grow despite some uncertainties clouding the forecast, according to the Department of Revenue’s September 2019 Wisconsin Economic Outlook.
While economic growth moderated in 2019 following the impact of the federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the current expansion cycle is now the longest on record.
After seven years of strong growth from 2012 to 2018, labor markets are beginning to slow in 2019, but consumer confidence has nearly reached an all-time high due to ongoing wage increases.
