In a recent Harris poll commissioned by global insurer Chubb, 40% of executives cited cyber breaches and data leaks as the most disruptive and financially burdensome man-made threats.
Forty percent of executives in the study cited cyber breaches and data leaks as growth disruptors, far outpacing other categories like accidents, regulations, social unrest and hazmat exposures.
The research found that 86% of companies already have or will soon adopt business interruption coverage for events like cyberattacks, natural disasters or supply chain disruptions.
The survey polled more than 500 executives across various industries in the U.S. and Canada. See more findings.
