The IRS has extended the deadline for third-party payers to use the consolidated claim process to fix incorrect employee retention credit (ERC) claims filed for clients.
Third-party sellers can now use the consolidated claim process until Tuesday, Dec. 31. The original deadline for the third-party option was Friday, Nov. 22.
Because some third-party payers filed ERC claims for multiple employers, the consolidated claim process allows the third party to withdraw only some clients while maintaining the claims of the qualifying clients. Read more.
