The IRS is reaching out to tax professionals with a voluntary survey aimed at improving services for both practitioners and taxpayers.
"Survey invitations will be sent by mail, followed by phone reminders," the IRS explained in an email to tax professionals, emphasizing, "this is not a scam."
The survey, conducted by independent research firm ICF, will run until Friday, Dec. 6, and will address key topics such as e-filing, due diligence, data security and electronic document submission.
Participation is anonymous, and the survey can be completed either online or by mail in about 20 minutes. Phone follow-ups will come from a Kansas City area code on weekdays. See more details.
