According to a recently released study by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, the majority of finance leaders believe their teams need to make significant skill changes to keep up with a rapidly changing world.
Research from the report, Re-inventing finance for a digital world, comes from a study of more than 5,500 finance professionals in 150 countries.
Research objectives included:
• To understand the future needs of businesses and employers globally in a digital world.
• To gain insight into the finance function in a digital world.
• To understand how new competencies are emerging in a digital world.
• To signpost the competency implications for finance professionals.
Core findings concluded that, in a digital world, the finance function will be judged more on the added value it brings and not just how costly it is to run.
