Setting fees for advisory services engagements

You’ve done the hard work of deciding what advisory services you will offer, who you want to target and have a plan on how to roll it all out — but what are you going to charge?

There’s no one way to do this, but answering a few questions can help get you on the right track for setting fees:

  • What is the service worth to the client?
  • What best supports your long-run business goals?
  • What are you allowed to charge?

Pricing is an art and not a science. You are going to have to experiment a little. If your fee is less than the value you bring, don’t hesitate to change your fee structure. Consider these tips.
