The IRS Independent Office of Appeals is seeking public input on best practices for conducting video conferences with taxpayers and tax professionals who have cases pending before the office.
The office’s mission is to resolve federal tax disputes without litigation. If a case qualifies for an appeal, the office will review the issues and schedule a conference with the taxpayer or their representative.
As the Office of Appeals prepares to update its policies with permanent guidelines for conducting video conferences, it welcomes input from taxpayers and tax professionals on how they can best use the technology in a taxpayer’s hearing. Learn more.
