The IRS is inviting the public to submit recommendations on tax issues for its priority guidance plan.
The agency uses the priority guidance plan to identify, rank and address tax issues through regulations, revenue rulings, revenue procedures, notices and other guidance.
Each year, the IRS solicits recommendations for the plan, acknowledging the importance in formulating guidance based on the experience and knowledge of taxpayers and practitioners. The IRS will accept recommendations for the plan through June 3.
The agency does not specify a format but the recommendations but strongly encourages submitters to do so electronically at www.regulations.gov. They can type “IRS-2022-0007” in the search field to find Notice 2022-21 and then click the “comment” button.
