The 2021 National Management of an Accounting Practice (MAP) survey from the AICPA Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) finds significant differences in revenue, profit and owner compensation.
The survey, fielded earlier this year, drew responses from more than a thousand U.S. accounting firms on a series of questions about dozens of financial benchmarks.
Among the takeaways from the MAP survey, three revelations stand out among the top-performing accounting firms: double the revenue, profit and compensation per partner.
The PCPS will publish an in-depth analysis of the survey results next year, but a quick comparison of top-performing firms finds these differences.
