The WICPA has won two Silver Awards for its new website in the 14th annual Davey Awards—an international creative awards program focused exclusively on honoring outstanding creative work from the best small shops worldwide.
The 14th Annual Davey Awards received 3,000 entries from ad agencies, interactive agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design firms and public relations firms. The WICPA awards are in the “Best Home Page” and “Websites – Banking & Accounting” categories.
In May, the WICPA launched the newly redesigned wicpa.org as a first step in the organization’s rebrand. The new website is a key resource with expanded capabilities for professional development, networking, sharing and interacting. It even includes a new members-only online community, which allows for engagement and collaboration with all fellow WICPA members via the member directory, discussion posts, messaging and resource libraries.
“Receiving the Davey Awards is an outstanding accomplishment for the WICPA and validates the hard work and dedication of the staff,” said Michael D. Akers, CPA, CBM, CFE, CGMA, CIA, CMA, PhD, Charles T. Horngren Professor of Accounting, Marquette University School of Business and WICPA chair of the board. “I believe the new website has added tremendous value to WICPA membership."
