The IRS Office of the Chief Procurement Officer has partnered with Data and Analytic Solutions of Fairfax, Virginia, and academic researchers to improve the agency’s procurement operations.
The effort will bring together a multidisciplinary team comprised of procurement practitioners as well as university professors and students with procurement and machine learning, a form of artificial intelligence that allows computers to better predict outcomes.
The ultimate goal of the partnership is to enable federal agencies to buy mission-critical services at a speed similar to the private sector's contracting process. Learn more.
