Generative AI, currently being led by ChatGPT, is the most transformative technology for our profession since the advent of the electronic spreadsheet in the 1980s. Every CPA must develop a foundational understanding of this technology, including how it works and opportunities to apply it in business and finance. This session will provide a primer on ChatGPT and generative AI will be explained, along with the nomenclature. It will also include a discussion and demonstration of practical applications for ChatGPT and other generative AI solutions for accounting professionals.

Using ChatGPT With Excel
In this innovative session, you will learn to combine the power of AI with the functionality of Excel. You'll find out how to leverage ChatGPT, OpenAI's powerful language model, to improve your Excel skills and decrease the time it takes to build spreadsheets. Although there will be a quick introduction to ChatGPT, the primary focus of this session will be a live demonstration of how to use ChatGPT to create an Excel spreadsheet.
