Overview
Sessions covered in this On-Demand replay of the School District Audit Conference:
Ethics & Decision Making
In this practical guide to being ethical, we will explore underlying principles that can lead to better ethical decisions. This includes asking how the increase in remote work and use of artificial intelligence impacts our ethical decision making and accountability, with the goal of creating an ethical culture in the workplace.
NOTE: This session qualifies for 2.4 credits toward the WICPA membership Ethics CPE requirement.
Recent Trends in Wisconsin School Finance: The Increasing Need for Capital & Operational Referenda
Schools today face a unique amalgamation of challenges that have moved many to seek capital and operational referenda to meet their needs. This presentation will provide the historical context of school district funding and outline the revenue sources that school districts can utilize under revenue limits and the state biennial budget to continue to operate and provide opportunities for students. The focus will also be on trends auditors may be noticing as a historic number of districts use referendum-approved dollars to balance their operating budgets.
NOTE: Certificates of attendance showing the CPE credit earned from this On-Demand program will be sent to your primary email on file approximately 2 weeks after viewing as we receive attendance reports from our streaming service provider. Members will also see this program reflected in their CPE tracker.
