Get Involved With the WICPA

Help move the profession forward by getting involved in the WICPA

Meaningful member involvement is a top priority at the WICPA, and joining our efforts is a great opportunity for future-oriented people who want to be part of moving the accounting profession forward.

Committees & Boards

One of the best ways to be part of moving the profession forward is by getting involved in a WICPA committee or board. With nearly 20 committees and boards available to serve on, there are many opportunities available.

CPAC & LIF Contribution

Support the WICPA Political Action Committee (CPAC) and WICPA Legislative Involvement Fund (LIF) to help advance public policy priorities important to the accounting profession and business communities in Wisconsin.

Educational Foundation Donation

A gift to the WICPA Educational Foundation helps students access education, career opportunities and resources that prepare them for success in the accounting profession.

High School Speaking Program

Give back to the profession by volunteering to speak in high school classrooms to help students better understand career opportunities available in accounting. We'll provide you with a presentation, talking point, gifts for students and more, making it fun and easy to participate!

Host a High School Accounting Class Visit

Give students exposure to the accounting profession and help influence the CPA pipeline while promoting your organization, your internships and/or your job shadow opportunities when you host a high school accounting class. Give a presentation, offer a tour, hold a roundtable discussion or create your own accouting-related activity.

Key Legislative Contact Program

Legislators see WICPA members as trustworthy experts, who are knowledgeable and objective when it comes to business and economic issues that impact our state. To assist the WICPA in its advocacy efforts, we encourage WICPA members who have a direct connection with a legislator to become a Key Legislative Contact.

Pro Bono Opportunities

The WICPA allows the option for those in need of assistance to request pro bono assistance via our website. If a request is approved, it will be posted on the Pro Bono Opportunities page for either 14 or 30 days.

Reading Makes Cents

Each April, in conjunction with National Financial Literacy Month, the WICPA Educational Foundation hosts Reading Makes Cents as an easy and fun way for WICPA members to get involved in the community while helping increase financial literacy of elementary school students.

WICPA Speaking Opportunities

The WICPA offers dozens of virtual and in-person programming opportunities for members and nonmembers alike to hear from subject matter experts about the most relevant topics. Share your expertise and connect with accounting and business professionals by becoming a WICPA Program Speaker today!
