Forum FAQ
How do I login?
To login to the forums, simply use your lastname and Membership ID number the same as you would to login into our online catalog.
Where do I find my Membership ID number
You can request your WICPA membership ID number by contacting the WICPA at 262-785-0445 ext. 3024 or sharon@wicpa.org. Your membership number is also printed next to your name on WICPA mailings such as On Balance or The Bridge. Your WICPA membership ID number is generated by the WICPA member database and is not related to your CPA license number.
Can I change my username and password?
Unfortunately no. Your username and password are tied to our database and cannot be changed.
Subscribe to a thread.
When viewing a thread, click on the OPTIONS menu at the upper left hand corner of the thread. A drop down menu will appear with choices. Click on WATCH THIS TOPIC.
To see a subscribed thread.
Go to MY PROFILE. On the left hand side there is a link called SUBSCRIPTIONS. Click on that link and another window will open with your subscribed threads. To view a thread, click on the little arrow located after the name of the last person posting in that thread. That arrow will take you directly to the thread and to the last post.
Quoting a member's post in your reply
Go to the post you wish to quote in your reply and click on the QUOTE button located at the upper right hand of that person’s post. Click on it and a new box will open up with that person’s quote included. Add your comment after the closed HTML tag.
Changing Your Avatar
The WICPA forum allows you to use only pre-loaded avatars provided by the WICPA. To change your avatar, go to MY PROFILE and click on MODIFY AVATAR. Click on Click Here to Select an Avatar.
In new window, select the folder ForumAvatars. Select an image you like and that will automatically make that image your avatar. There is no need to save.
Use of HTML Code
Please do not use standard HTML code when formatting your messages. This will generate a Runtime Error when you try to post your message. Use the WYSIWYG editor for formatting your text. Thank you.
Points - What do they mean?
Essentially nothing. Ignore the points. They do not have any meaning in terms of the quality of the person posting. In future editions of our forum, we hope to remove the point system.
