The WICPA Board of Directors represents the membership, exercises leadership, participates in strategic planning, and approves the annual WICPA budget, bylaw amendments, selection of auditors, and other actions relating to organizational governance. The board consists of 15 members.
The WICPA will be seeking Board member applications for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. Open Board member positions will include Chair-elect and three (3) Directors.
The application process will open at a later date.
All applications will be due by November 11, 2016 to be considered for an open position, by the WICPA Nominations Committee.

Steven G. Handrick, CPA, CGMA is the managing partner of Hawkins Ash CPAs, LLP. Handrick has been a member of the WICPA since 1982, was on the board of directors from 2005–2008, and was a member of the WICPA’s Credit Union Committee. He has been chair of the AICPA’s PCPS Large Firm Group since 2012. He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Green Bay and its current treasurer, plus treasurer for Rotary District 6220 and Rotary International Midwest PETS. He lives in De Pere with his wife, Mary, and has four adult children and two grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family, vacationing in the Caribbean and watching the Green Bay Packers.
William K. Komisar, CPA, J.D. – Chair-elect
William L. Komisar, CPA, J.D., is a principal at CliftonLarsonAllen, and specializes in tax planning and consulting with a diverse range of business and individual clients. Komisar has been a member of the WICPA since 1980, is past chair of the WICPA Educational Foundation and currently is on the WICPA Board of Directors. He is also a past chair of the Jewish Home & Care Center and its foundation and currently serves on its boards and executive committee. He currently serves on the audit and compliance committee of Children’s Hospital, as well as on several other organizations including private foundations. He is the 2015 recipient of the WICPA Excellence Award for Public Service. He and his wife, Becky, live in Mequon and have three grown children.
Jean Hansen, CPA, MBA, CGMA - Past Chair
Jean M. Hansen, CPA, MBA, CGMA is the vice president of finance at Manitowoc Tool & Machining, LLC in Manitowoc. Hansen has been a member of the WICPA since 1996 and currently serves on the Finance Committee and Membership Advisory Committee. She lives in Two Rivers with her husband, Jeff, and has two adult children, Sarah and Dane and enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, Grace.
Katherine L. Hauser, CPA, CGMA – Secretary/Treasurer
Katherine L. Hauser, CPA, CGMA is the controller at Price Engineering Company, Inc. in Hartland. A WICPA member since 2001, Hauser has served on the CPAs in Industry Fall Conference Planning Task Force since 2007, and was a director from 2013–2016. She is an avid reader, aspiring cellist and an enthusiastic sports fan.
Michael D. Akers, CPA, Ph.D. – Director
Mike Akers is the Charles T. Horngren Professor of Accounting and chair of the Department of Accounting at Marquette University. A WICPA member since 1997, Akers serves on the Excellence Awards Committee and has participated in the WICPA High School Educator Symposium. He received the 2015 WICPA Excellence Award for Education. He and his wife, Mary, live in New Berlin and have four daughters, Chrissy, Rebecca, Victoria and Laura.

Lucien A. Beaudry, J.D., CPA is a shareholder in the law firm of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c., in Milwaukee. Lucien is chair of the firm’s Federal Tax Planning and Executive Compensation teams. He has been a member of WICPA since 2009 and currently serves on its Federal Tax Committee and the Tax Conference Task Force. He lives in Elm Grove with his wife, Hollie, and his two children, Mason and Lily.
Ryan J. Hanson, CPA, CGMA – Director
Ryan J. Hanson, CPA, CGMA is the financial accounting manager at MGIC Investment Corporation in Milwaukee. Hanson, a WICPA member since 2004, serves as a member of both WICPA Public Policy Committee and Competency Enhancement Task Force. He is the current chair of the Institute’s CPAs in Industry Fall Conference Planning Task Force, of which he has been a member since 2007. Outside of the WICPA, he teaches financial literacy and coaches youth sports. He lives in Brookfield with his wife, Amanda, and their two children: Evan and Haydan Mae.
Debra L. Lenz, CPA, CGMA, CIA, CRMA – Director
Debra Lenz, CPA, CGMA, CIA, CRMA, is an audit lead at Harley-Davidson, Inc. in Milwaukee. Lenz has been an active member of the WICPA since 1998 and currently serves on the CPAs in Industry Fall Conference Task Force. She is a past director on the WICPA Educational Foundation Board and past president of the Milwaukee Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. She is also an adjunct professor of accounting at Cardinal Stritch University. She lives in Pleasant Prairie with her husband, Joe, and their two daughters, Chloe and Adelynn.

Terri M. Lillesand, CPA, is a tax shareholder at Schenck SC in the Sheboygan office. Lillesand currently leads Schenck’s firm wide tax practice. She has been a member of the WICPA since 1992 and currently serves on the Federal Taxation Committee. She and her husband, Tim, live in Sheboygan and have two daughters, Hannah and Rachel.

Matthew Los, CPA is a Corporate Controller at Badger Magnetics, Inc. in Milwaukee. Los, a WICPA member since 2008, serves on its Young Professional and Excellence Awards committees and volunteers with other local organizations. He and his wife, Amy, live in Mukwonago and have two children, Natalie and Jacob.
Scott D. Miller, CPA, ABV, PFS, CVA - Director
Scott D. Miller, CPA/ABV, CVA, PFS is president and founder of Enterprise Services, Inc. (ESI) a niche nationally recognized firm focused on consulting and providing valuations for privately held companies, many with ESOPs. Miller, a serial entrepreneur, has been an equity investor and officer in several private companies prior to founding ESI. He has authored five books on business transactions, speaks frequently to national audiences on strategic transition planning and is active at senior levels in industry volunteer work. He received the 2012 WICPA Business & Industry Excellence Award and currently serves on the AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee.

Matthew J. Schaefer, CPA, CGMA is vice president of Regulatory Compliance at the Bank of Wisconsin Dells. Schaefer has been a member of the WICPA Public Policy Committee since 2010 and has participated as a member of the WICPA Nominations Committee. He has previously served in the United States Navy and has been deployed on operations in the Middle East, Eastern and Western Europe and Caribbean regions. He lives in Wisconsin Dells with his wife, Laura, and their daughter, Cora.

Unger, a WICPA member since 2000, currently serves as chair of its School District Auditors Conference Committee. She is a board of trustees and finance committee member for the Public Policy Forum. Nick Lascari, CPA, CEA, CGMA is an owner and partner with Balistreri, Jezo & Lascari, LLP in Brookfield. He specializes in small business and pass-throughs. He is a past president and chair of the WICPA Board of Directors, and has volunteered with several other organizations including serving as past chairman and current treasurer of the Better Business Bureau, the Journey House, Civic Music Association and St. Jude Congregation. He has served the WICPA as past chair of the Federal Tax Committee and Tax Conference Committee, and served on the AICPA Partnership Tax Committee, Individual Tax Committee, and Tax Legislation and Policy Committee. He currently serves on the WICPA Federal Taxation Committee and is the AICPA Key Federal Person Coordinator for Wisconsin. He enjoys golfing, home improvement projects, gardening and travel with his wife, Delores, to visit their two grown sons, daughters-in-law and four grandchildren.
Rick E. Dreher, CPA – AICPA Council
Rick E. Dreher, CPA, MST, is the managing partner of Wipfli LLP. Dreher oversees the vision and strategy, leadership, growth, and overall performance of the firm. He has been a member of the WICPA since 1984. He also has served as an AICPA council member, and chair and board member of PKF North America. He also served as chair of the Global Council for PKFI. Currently, he is chair of Allinial Global International. He and his wife, Susie, live in Green Bay and have two daughters.
